Public Adjuster in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
On April 13, 2023, more than 25 inches of rain fell at the Fort Lauderdale airport, smashing the one-day record of 14.59 inches set in 1979, according to NOAA. Events like that leave owners asking whether a homeowners, condo or flood policy covers the damage. As a public claim adjuster for Fort Lauderdale and the rest of Broward County, Ricardo Public Adjusters helps you document what happened and review the insurer's position.

Claims we help with in Fort Lauderdale
Flooding and wind-driven rain
Water that comes through a roof or window during a storm and water that rises from outside are handled under different policies. How the water entered is the first thing to document.
Hurricane & Storm Damage Claims in Fort LauderdaleWater damage in condominiums
A leak from a neighboring unit or a building system raises the question of which policy responds: your HO-6 unit-owner policy or the association's master policy. We help you gather the documents that answer it.
Water Damage Claims in Fort LauderdaleRoof damage
Roof claims often turn on the age of the roof and on whether the insurer considers it repairable rather than replaceable. We help you document both sides of that question.

Building rules in Fort Lauderdale
Broward is one of the two counties in Florida's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, together with Miami-Dade, so windows, doors and shutters must meet the stricter Miami-Dade test standards. On the beach, most construction seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line also needs a permit from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection unless it is exempt, which can affect how and when a repair is done.
